Curated Culinary Events

The Loren at Pink Beach's annual Guest Chef Series, an initiative started in 2021 to showcase Bermudian ingredients through the lens of internationally-acclaimed chefs, will return with a line-up of travel-worthy talent. Qualifying Chefs must be Michelin starred, James Beard Award winners or a TV Personality in order to participate and to bring a unique culinary experience to guests. The Guest Chef Series is an opportunity to feature a selection of ingredients that the island of Bermuda produces. This year confirmed Chefs to-date include Ryan Hardy, Einat Admony, Kelsey Barnard Clark, Leah Cohen, Sujan Sarkar, Belinda Chang & Sarah Grunenberg, Eric Adjepong, Anita Lo, Dale Talde, and Edward Lee. Participating Chefs go beyond the kitchen while on the island and connect with the youth of Bermuda through cooking classes and motivating talks. Proceeds from the series help benefit The Loren Roots Imperative, a non-profit created to help offset the carbon footprint of development.

Weekend with Chef Kelsey BARDard Clark

June 8, 2024

Born and raised in Alabama, Kelsey Barnard Clark has developed an impressive resume as the fifth woman and first southerner to win the title of Bravo’s “Top Chef,” and a 2024 James Beard Award nominee for Best Chef: South. Kelsey got her start in the food industry working for a high-end caterer and catered her first solo wedding at age 15. After graduating from the CIA, she worked savory & pastry in several Michelin-star restaurants in New York City, including Café Boulud under Gavin Kaysen, and Dovetail under John Fraser. Her signature southern-French cuisine is inspired by family recipes and classic French techniques. Today, Kelsey runs her catering company and restaurant, KBC, in historic downtown Dothan. In August 2021, her debut cookbook “Southern Grit” hit the shelves. Join KBC on our Pink Beach starting with cocktails on the sand and watch as Lion fisherwomen emerge from the water with a fresh catch of the invasive (yet delicious) Lionfish species on the island. Experience it as they prepare fresh ceviche and other bites right in front of your eyes. Then on Saturday experience her four-course dinner with wine pairing.
