Live Art Dinner
In celebration of Art Month this October, The Loren invites you to an unforgettable evening where fine art, exceptional cuisine, and immersive entertainment come together in a unique sensory experience.
The evening begins with an elegant reception and cocktail hour, where guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails while viewing a curated exhibition of works by our featured artist. This intimate setting offers the opportunity to connect with fellow art enthusiasts, explore the artist’s collection, and gain insight into their creative inspiration.
Following the reception, guests will be welcomed to an exquisite three-course dinner, thoughtfully paired with selected wines. As each course is served, the featured artist will create a live artwork before the audience, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look into the artistic process and transforming the evening into a captivating performance.
Created as part of October’s Art Month celebrations, this special event honors the vibrant local arts community while showcasing the powerful connection between creativity, culture, and culinary excellence. Guests will experience art not only as something to be admired, but as something that unfolds in real time, making for a truly memorable and inspiring evening.
About the Artists:
Alshante Foggo (@artbyalshante)
Alshante Foggo is a Bermuda-born artist and the Creative Director of Art by Alshante. Known for her bold brushstrokes, vibrant color palettes, and expressive portraits, her work captures powerful emotions through the dynamic relationship between color and facial expression. Inspired by a lifelong passion for painting that began at a young age, Alshante has expanded her practice across a variety of artistic mediums while remaining true to her distinctive style. Through every piece, she aims not only to create visually captivating art but also to inspire connection, spark conversation, and convey meaningful messages that resonate beyond the canvas. She also has experience with travel to several states in the US as an ambassador for Bermuda Tourism showcasing her artwork. She is now the owner of Strokes in the City Art Studio located in the heart of Hamilton.
Shanna Hollis (@shannahollisdesigns)
Shanna Hollis is an award-winning Bermudian designer, muralist, and artist whose multidisciplinary practice explores Bermuda’s culture, identity, community, and island life through vibrant colour, bold pattern, and dynamic visual storytelling. Her work spans large-scale murals, illustration, textiles, and branding, with murals featured throughout Bermuda and internationally. Notable projects include a commemorative mural honouring Olympic gold medalist Flora Duffy and a historic mural in St. George’s celebrating Bermuda’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. Her work has received international coverage in Footwear News, Travel + Leisure, Essence, Black Enterprise, and Observer. Hollis has exhibited with Masterworks, participated in Bermuda Walls and Wynwood Mural Fest in Miami, and collaborated with the Bermuda Tourism Authority on its “Paint the Town Pink” initiative in New York City. Her accolades include the Bermuda Society of Arts Graphic Design Showcase Award, the Bermuda National Trust Cultural Heritage Certificate, and The Bermudian Magazine’s Product & Service Award for Graphic Design. Through her practice, Hollis continues to celebrate and elevate Bermudian culture through contemporary art, design, and visual storytelling.
Nahshon Hollis (@nahshonhollisart)
Nahshon Hollis is a Bermudian painter whose passion for art began at just two years old and developed into a dedicated practice in oil painting by the age of seven, inspired by the iconic Bob Ross. His work spans surreal and highly realistic interpretations of Bermuda’s landscapes, wildlife, and natural world, distinguished by technical precision, rich texture, and an appreciation for light and atmosphere.
Hollis held his first solo exhibition at the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art in 2008 and has since exhibited at prominent events, including multiple Bermuda Premier’s Concerts. In 2009, he was featured in Oprah Winfrey’s Search for the World’s Most Talented Kids, and in 2013 received the Bermuda Outstanding Teen Award for Visual Arts. A graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art, Hollis has received numerous honours, including the 2024 Charman Prize and the 2024 Best of Bermuda Award for Visual Arts. His work continues to celebrate the beauty of Bermuda while contributing to humanitarian and educational causes.

Alice Coutet is a Bermudian artist whose diverse body of work spans faith-inspired pieces, portraits, realism, contemporary art, architectural subjects, landscapes, and iconic Bermuda scenes. Guided by a passion for storytelling through art, she creates works that inspire hope, encourage reflection, and foster meaningful connections. Alice is particularly known for incorporating her faith into her creative practice, including captivating live painting performances that reveal powerful imagery before an audience. Whether through commissioned works, exhibitions, or community showcases, her art serves as a platform to uplift, inspire, and share messages of purpose and hope.

Carlos Santana is a celebrated Bermudian artist known for his vibrant and expressive works. Carlos's unique perspective and innovative techniques have earned him a prominent place in the local art scene, attracting attention both nationally and internationally. His passion for creativity and storytelling comes alive on canvas, inviting viewers to connect with the essence of Bermuda. Carlos runs a thriving business that hosts engaging sip and paint events, perfect for private gatherings, children’s parties, and corporate functions. His sessions provide a fun, interactive experience where participants can explore their artistic talents while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere. In addition to painting, Carlos also offers personalized caricatures, adding a whimsical touch to any event. His commitment to fostering creativity and community through art makes each gathering a memorable occasion for all involved.
Jahnarri Wilson (@iusecnre)
Jahbarri Wilson is a self-taught Bermudian artist whose style is shaped between the conscious and subconscious style, often using multiple mediums in a single piece. Through painting, drawing, sculpture and fashion, Jahbarri pushes boundaries with his art. Wilson’s practice blends abstraction with loose figuration, creating works that feel both intentional and spontaneous. His practice is driven by his curiosity about Bermudian history, global cultures, and the expressive possibilities of painting.
In 2020, Jahbarri exhibited with several emerging artists in the 441 group show at Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art. He won first place in the 2021 Fall Members Show at the Bermuda Society of Art with his piece, Corporate Dilemma. His first solo exhibition, All Play is Spiritual, was held at Masterworks in 2022. Jahbarri publicly created a piece, Star’erfolk, during Bermuda’s inaugural Art Month in 2023. He was one of five artists who created pieces for “Art We Ate” at Bermuda Society of Arts in 2024. Jahbarri worked for Bermudian designer Khamari Greaves in Los Angeles for several years. He currently teaches art at Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation.
